At Orion 247 HQ we have kicked off the new year with bang! We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Sutcliffe as our UK Service Desk Manager.
Whilst 2020 posed many challenges, at Orion we took the time to restructure and continue to strengthen the service side of the business. Our committed Service and Operations team have invested great time and effort to build a fully managed Network Operations Centre (NOC) at our Head Quarters in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Working alongside our existing 25+ strong offshore Service Delivery team, the addition of the Operations Centre here in the UK will offer an enhanced and efficient service delivery experience for Orion’s customers across the board. Led by Craig, the UK Service Delivery team will operate around the clock in collaboration with our offshore based colleagues providing our customers with real time updates and heightened communication for all service requirements.
Craig’s experience in the IT sector started when he became a YTS trainee in electronics and he quickly progressed to work for BT where he was appointed to their IT Systems Support team. He gained CCNA and CCDA Cisco qualifications which led him to positions within Project Management. After 15 years at BT he became a Support Consultant for Thomson Reuters and Eclipse.

The specially designed NOC will not only act as a fully managed Service Desk here in the UK, but will open up a more enhanced service portfolio for Orion in the future. We are working closely with a number of partners, including www.uk-tec.com to develop additional services that will be available soon.
